I love buying clothes, I don’t necessarily love fashion or even wearing all my clothes but I love to buy and own pretty clothing. Almost exactly a year ago I decided to finally quit my well paying job in Stockholm and by that also deciding to quit a lot of the bad habits I had started with during my years as an adult with an office job – the worst one was having online shopping as a hobby and buying tons of fast fashion.I’ve always been good with money, I love to save, but I also love to splurge when I know I can afford it. Having an office job after years of part time jobs or studying meant having a income every month and finally being able to treat myself to some nice clothes.I quickly fell in love with fast fashion brands like COS and & Other Stories and bought wool sweaters and silk shirts in every color.

I’ve always loved home decor and it’s something that I definitely think is in my blood. My dad always loved decorating and his home was always filled with paintings and photographs his friends had made or he had taken. Log Cabin Lady - We Bought a Log Cabin

Buying a log cabin – a wonderful dream come true!

We bought a log cabin! Five words I’ve only ever dreamt of saying (or write). But yes, we bought a log cabin!

It’s been a dream of ours to own a cabin and a house for so long, but until just a few months ago we lived in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, where log cabins are pretty much non-existent and house prices in generally are millions and millions of Swedish kronor which in USD translates to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

In early 2020 we finally moved to the tiny mountain town Åre in northern Sweden (I have another blogpost coming out next week about our decision and move to Åre so stay tuned) and it’s been a total dream come true from the start…
