Fall is in full force and I’m trying my best to keep up with daily walks watching the leaves turn from green to yellow, orange and red. I have a lot of things cooking right now and I’m so excited to share them soon! But for now: Here are my Three Things Friday that made me happy this week:
How do you like them apples? Applesauce? Apple pie? Apple butter?
I got a big bag of apples from Henrik’s parents’ gorgeous apple trees, ours is still only a few feet tall and a few years from bearing any fruit, someone please make time go faster. I love apples, but I often get a stomach ache when eating “raw” apples so I decided to try making my first ever applesauce, which was so easy, fun and sooo delicious to have on my oatmeal for breakfast. Next up is trying to make apple butter, but we don’t have a slow cooker so I’m not sure if I’m able to make it.
It’s so fun learning to make jams and canning things, this is truly a year of firsts!
I started this blog to document my life living in a log cabin in the Swedish mountains, I had a fairly good idea of what I wanted to write about when I started but I soon realized that doing cute DIYs, although I dream of making some soon, might not be what I’m the best at in the world. I did find how much I love writing about productivity, home stuff, life and business related things that I think about and do a lot in my “real” life.
Wherever this blog takes me, even if it just ends up being only Three Things Friday, the thought of having a place to share my thoughts and ideas or simply just somewhere to put my writing is just the most wonderful thing to me right now.
I bought beeswax from a local producer after watching countless of DIY’s on how to make your own beeswax wraps. Given that I’m a fabric hoarder, that’s a post of it’s own, I just have to decide on which of my pretty fabrics to sacrifice for this project. I love the idea of the beeswax wraps matching our kitchen curtains, but maybe that’s too matchy-matchy!? Stay tuned!
What are your Three Things Friday this week?
