Happy Friday! It’s the end of another wonderful week and it’s also the end of summer here in Åre. The temperature has dropped to 50 degrees and the leaves are slowly turning yellow. But I couldn’t be happier, I love fall!
Here are this week’s Three Things Friday that made me happy this week.
Rewatching Gilmore Girls
It’s happening again. Each fall I get the enormous urge to rewatch Gilmore Girls and why deny myself a chance to rewatch one of my favorite shows for the….10th time!?
I know it’s corny, but I remember when Gilmore Girls first aired and I watched it together with my mom every week so it’s very nostalgic to me. And I just love sipping coffee out of my Luke’s Diner mug I got while touring the Warner Brothers set last year and daydream about how freaking cool it was to get to walk out on the Gilmore Girls porch (despite having mayor sunburn, who knew Californian sun in March was so strong) – life goals!
Despite it only being the beginning of September fall is in full force up here in northern Sweden. I personally love fall and especially fall storms. Sure it’s windy as hell, raining almost everyday and kind of freezing, but I’ve been bundling up with an extra layer and a cute hat when going on my daily walks and just enjoying the magical colors. Inside I’ve started wearing my fake UGG boots I bought last year and drinking heaps of tea to keep me warm while sitting still at my computer. We are getting a heat pump soon but until then a nice fire will have to do.
Getting dressed up
This past weekend I attended my first ever COVID-19 wedding! After months of quarantine and self isolation it felt so wonderful being around people again and to hang out with old and new friends, at a safe distance of course. I’m so happy I got to be part of my awesome friends magical day. It was truly a dream wedding, with lots of delicious food and drinks and my friend who got married wore the most amazing wedding dress ever. Plus! Look at the dessert cart! To DIE for!
